記事にしましたが、今回も.htaccess 関連です。
http://www.example.com/ と
http://www.example.com/index.html とは
実は別のページとして扱われます。
受けた被リンクの数なども合算されませんので、
正規化をしておくだけで、SEO効果があるかもしれない、
というお話です。
さほど順位には影響は無いでしょうが、
万が一、被リンクやインデックスが分散しているのであれば、
これはやっておくべきでしょう。

RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} ^.*/index.html
RewriteRule ^(.*)index.html$ http://www.example.com/$1 [R=301,L]
といった感じで.htacessファイルを作成します。
http://www.example.com/ の部分をあなたのサイト名にリライトして、
アップロードしてください。
